Contemporary Class offerings for beginning to advanced level dancers.
Contemporary Choreo Lab with Sylvana Christopher will start Wednesday, October 4th for a six week series ending on November 8th.
Contemporary ChoreoLab is a guided hour of experimentation and movement generation. Dancers will be asked to dive deeper into their own personal movement as well as learn to move like others in the classroom. We will examine the relationship to familiar spatial patterns and try to create surprising movement structures.
Join Florian Rouiller for a Contemporary Dance Class every Saturday from 2:30-4pm starting on October 7th. No class held on October 14th or December 2nd.
This class focuses on movement as a physical expression of emotion. This class will introduce students to a range of modern techniques; increasing strength, flexibility and freedom of movement. All exercises and choreography take place in center floor, allowing students to explore range of movement and interpretive style. Prior modern dance experience is necessary to take this class however a background in some form of dance would be helpful. Improvisation will be also incorporated in the class.
