Trump's Executive Order Leads to NEA withdrawing $15,000 in Funding from Dance Loft

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

When you give today or make your donation a monthly contribution you help us move forward with more certainty.

Dance Loft on 14 has always stood for access, equity, and artistic excellence, providing each year more than 22,000 artists and students in the DC area with unique access to performances, studios, and arts education programs. Friday night, the Trump Administration cancelled Dance Loft’s $15,000 grant award from the National Endowment for the Arts for programming to serve our Dance Loft community, with the potential for other pending essential grants also being canceled.

TODAY, your support becomes even more critical to help Dance Loft continue to:

  • Offer affordable rehearsal space for local artists and emerging companies

  • Keep performances and artist residencies accessible to all

  • Offer artist commissions and salaries for Moveius Contemporary Ballet’s 18 professional company dancers

  • Sustain a space where art meets community and social justice

  • Continue with our innovative plan to create economic stability for our organization with our world-class future home - a mixed-use green arts complex with much-needed affordable housing in Ward 4

We are at a turning point, and with YOUR SUPPORT can guarantee our path forward!
