MANAGER ON DUTY/EVENT ATTENDANT
Part-Time Contractor Position: 4-20 hours/week as needed on weekends for Manager-on-Duty
shifts and during show and event weekends
Dance Loft on 14 is seeking an eager and creative individual who wants to energetically support the arts and take on multifaceted tasks within a dynamic arts organization. This includes engaging with patrons at the front of house for weekly classes and rentals, as well as assisting during performances held at Dance Loft on 14. The MOD/Event Attendant position requires exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor, as this individual serves as the public face of the organization and sets the tone for every guest’s experience.

YOUTH PROGRAM TEACHING ARTIST
Part-Time Faculty (Ongoing Recruitment): Applications for this position will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Dance Loft on 14 is seeking experienced and passionate Teaching Artists to join our Youth Program Faculty. We are building an ongoing roster of instructors to teach current classes, upcoming sessions, and future offerings. Ideal candidates have experience working with young dancers ages 3–12 and bring a nurturing, technically sound, and inclusive teaching approach.
We are especially interested in teachers with backgrounds in ballet, creative movement, pre-ballet, and introductory modern/jazz-based creative dance for young movers.

INTERNSHIPS
Internships at Dance Loft are hosted year-round for Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer terms. Supervised by their focus area’s manager, interns will work on special projects and events within the nonprofit performing arts sector and have the opportunity to showcase and grow their skills based on their interests and background.
Applicants must be 18+ and authorized to work in the US.
Arts Administration Intern
Supports the Rentals Team & Studio Associate - You will learn many of the essential aspects of running a studio that hosts rentals, productions, and classes. In supporting the team that produces Youth and Adult dance classes, you will learn how an arts organization navigates multiple priorities and gain insight on how to support an organization from the administrative perspective. You’ll get experience with useful CRM system knowledge for future positions.
Development/Fundraising Intern
Supports the Executive Director - You will gain hands-on, practical experience running aspects of an annual fundraising campaign for an arts organization. While under the mentorship of the Executive Director, projects will include copywriting, donor outreach, grant writing, prospect research and more. This internship provides one-on-one time for questions and guidance, as well as practical advice for an individual exploring professional employment in the development field.
Marketing/Communications Intern
Supports Dance Loft Communications - You will learn many of the essential aspects of community outreach through internal and external communications. Projects will include social media management, website development and maintenance, partnership collaborations, and more. Strong writing skills, knowledge of social media & trends, a creative eye, and excitement to learn required!
Internship Benefits:
Dance Loft will coordinate with your school/institution for credit hours.
If credit is not desired, we can provide an exchange for studio space and/or free classes.
