February 14 @ 7:30 PM & 15 @ 4:00 pm

Celebrate Valentine’s weekend with Love Language—a heartfelt evening of dance curated by acclaimed choreographer and Moveius Associate Director Alvaro Palau. Love Language is an immersive ballet where movement becomes a medium for connection, romance, and creative discovery. Set during a fictional audition, audiences journey with the dancers through multiple spaces at Dance Loft on 14 as love blooms on and off the stage.

Forever is a Feeling is a world premiere commission created in partnership with the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in response to The Outwin: American Portraiture Today—a national competition highlighting contemporary portraiture that reflects the diversity and complexity of the American experience. Forever is a Feeling amplifies the stories of those often unseen in mainstream culture. Rather than portraying specific portraits, the choreography captures fleeting moments—chance encounters, quiet resilience, and acts of defiance—creating a living dialogue between visibility and erasure, exploring how portraiture can preserve not just likeness, but memories.

Forever is a Feeling marks Diana Movius’ 3rd original work for the National Portrait Gallery.

This is a FREE event. Please reserve your spot online before attending.

PAST PERFORMANCES

Moveius @ The Spanish CULTURAL CENTER

Moveius Ballet is honored to present a FREE performance in collaboration with The Spanish Cultural Center. The company will perform a new piece created by Spanish dancer Raquel Klein in collaboration with Moveius Contemporary Ballet.

Klein’s work questions the choreographic potential of spaces through bodies that become choreography through the gesture of being, of remaining, of occupying a place, establishing contemplative, long-duration choreographic landscapes.

october 15 @ 6:30 PM
