Dance Loft offers ballet, contemporary, jazz, and bilingual dance for children and youth.
We prioritize your dancer’s technical training in a safe and fun environment.
Classes run September 8th through May 31st.

Classes and Registration
DL14 Lower School (Ages 3-6)
For Lower School registration, we offer classes per session (Fall, Winter, Spring). Once registration is open, please use the link for the appropriate class.

Our Pre-ballet class introduces our youngest dancers to ballet in a fun and positive environment that allows students to learn dance skills and activate their creativity. Students learn basic ballet steps and work towards developing coordination and rhythm. This class prioritizes fostering a love for dance and emphasizes self-expression and imagination.

Dress Code:
Girls: pink or purple leotard (skirts okay), pink or flesh tone tights or ankle socks, canvas or leather ballet shoes, hair pulled back out of face
Boys: fitted black leggings or shorts (skirts okay), solid colored t-shirt, canvas or leather ballet shoes, hair pulled back out of face
*If student is uncomfortable they are welcome to wear comfortable clothing as long as it is flexible, breathable, and not baggy.

Our bilingual creative movement class introduces students to dance education, technique, and foundations that help fine-tune motor skills and improve both cognitive ability and confidence in both English and Spanish.

DL14 Upper School (Ages 7 and above)
For upper school registration, we will be offering full school year enrollment, with multiple payment plan options. To enroll, please click the appropriate level, then payment plan you wish to register for. If you choose Payment Plan B or C, you will be emailed a code to use to complete your enrollment.

Our Ballet 1 class provides a fundamental introduction to ballet technique and artistry. Dancers at this level learn basic ballet steps, continue to develop their coordination and rhythm, and gain strength and creativity. This class prioritizes teaching ballet techniques while fostering a sense of community and creating a fun and safe learning environment.

Our Ballet 2 class continues building the student’s dance vocabulary. Dancers at this level start learning simple combinations using base vocabulary, introduce jazz technique to their schedule, and build flexibility with strength. This class prioritizes expanding dance knowledge while fostering a sense of community and creating a fun and safe learning environment.
This class meets twice a week with 3 classes:
Monday, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Ballet 2/3)
Monday, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Jazz 2/3)
Thursday, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Ballet 2)

Dancers at this level demonstrate application of feedback and corrections in classes, introduce jazz technique to their curriculum, and begin learning more complex choreography. This class prioritizes musicality and expanding vocabulary while learning in a safe environment.
This class meets three times a week with 4 classes:
Monday, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Ballet 2/3)
Monday, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Jazz 2/3)
Wednesday, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm (Ballet 3/4)
Friday, 4:30 pm -6:00 pm (Ballet 3/4)

Dancers at this level demonstrate basic vocabulary application to technique, introduce jazz technique to their curriculum, and begin learning syncopated movements. This class prioritizes musicality and expanding vocabulary while learning in a safe environment.
This class meets three times a week with 5 classes:

Our youth contemporary level provides an introduction to contemporary, modern, and jazz styles that allows young dancers to learn fundamental techniques while developing their own unique movement style. The level supports a fun and engaging learning environment that is perfect for dancers to expand their creativity. Contemporary and jazz dance allows students to expand their versatility and artistry.
This level meets twice a week:
Monday, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (Jazz 2/3, ages 8-10) OR 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Jazz 4, ages 10-12)
Saturday, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Dress Code
We encourage creativity in all of our students! We have a suggested dress code for students, but understand that at a young age, dance attire can feel constricting. Please view the classes above for the suggested dress code for each level.
*Please note, for performances we do require a flesh toned, spaghetti strapped leotard for girls.*
