Moveius Ballet goes to Armenia
For the first time in company history, Moveius performs abroad. Help us get our dancers there.
Why Armenia
A ballet about resilience,
on a world stage
At the end of October, Moveius Contemporary Ballet travels to Yerevan to perform alongside the 2026 United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, a major biennial diplomatic conference. It is the first international tour in the company’s history.
The company will perform Seasons of Resilience, Artistic Director Diana Movius’s ballet inspired by conservationist Rachel Carson, set to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as reimagined by Max Richter.
While in Yerevan, the dancers will also work with Roudolf Kharatian, a celebrated choreographer, former member of Armenia’s national ballet, and a beloved part of DC’s own dance history.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our dancers, and it is only possible with your support. Your gift sends the company to Armenia and powers the creative work behind it, from new choreography to the full season of performances that make moments like this possible.
